Free Knitting Patterns

 
Herringbone Lace Turban
(Multiple of 7 + 3)

Materials

Semilla by BC Garn 100% organic wool
2 x 50g balls (160m each)
Or any D.K. yarn – (approx. 300m)
3.5mm needles

Tension

1 patt rep should measure approximately 2.5cm/1 inch

Turban

Cast on 38sts.
Row 1: (RS) Sl1, k1, *p1, k1, yfrn, p2tog, k1, p1, k1, rep from * to last st, k1.
Row 2: Sl1, p1, *k2, yfrn, p2tog, k2, p1, rep from * to last st, p1.
Rep these 2 rows until piece measures approx. 102cm/40 inches, or until desired length. Cast off.

Place centre of turban at nape of neck and tie at front of head, covering ears slightly. Tie a second knot and fold ends behind and tuck or pin into back of turban.

Abbreviations

Sl1 – Slip 1 stitch
Yfrn – yarn forward and round needle
